Terms of Service

VeloFuel is a nutrition and training app for endurance athletes. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. Who can use VeloFuel

You must be at least 16 years old. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

We use passwordless sign-in via one-time codes sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. You may not share your account or use someone else's account.

3. Free plan and Pro plan

The core app is free. A Pro subscription (€9/month) unlocks unlimited AI features. Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

4. Acceptable use

Use VeloFuel for its intended purpose. You may not:

  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the API.
  • Attempt to access other users' data.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.

5. AI features

AI-generated suggestions are informational only. They are not medical or dietitian advice. Always use your own judgment. We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI output.

6. Your data

Your food logs, workouts, and other content belong to you. We don't sell your data. We process it to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Integrations with Strava and TrainerRoad are optional. Connecting them gives VeloFuel read access to your training data from those platforms, subject to their own terms.

7. Availability

We aim to keep VeloFuel running smoothly, but we make no uptime guarantees, especially on the free plan. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice when possible.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. After account deletion, your data is purged within 30 days.

9. Liability

VeloFuel is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Voss Media House AS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be resolved in Norwegian courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you by email for material changes. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

Today = your command center

Today brings your training and nutrition into one timeline so you can make the next decision quickly.

  • Meal slots guide your day (breakfast → evening).
  • Workout-linked meals (pre/post) appear when relevant.
  • The timeline reflects what’s planned vs what’s eaten.

The macro bar tells you “what’s left”

Don’t manually calculate. The macro bar is the fastest feedback loop in the app.

  • Green progress = you’re moving toward the day’s targets.
  • If carbs are behind, your next meal suggestions skew carb-friendly.
  • On hard days, targets adjust so you don’t underfuel your training.

Log meals fast (and adjust later)

Most of the app is designed for quick, “good enough” logging — accuracy can improve over time.

  • Tap a meal slot to add items.
  • Edit amounts if needed — your macro bar updates instantly.
  • Over time, you’ll reuse the same foods/meals and it becomes very fast.

Workouts change what “enough” looks like

Training drives fueling. VeloFuel uses workouts to shape targets and timing.

  • Hard sessions → higher carb needs.
  • Long sessions → during-fuel matters (not just meals).
  • Recovery is real: post-workout fueling helps tomorrow too.

Connect Strava (optional, recommended)

Strava reduces manual work and makes the app smarter about your training.

  • Sync workouts automatically.
  • Auto-fill parts of your profile (less setup effort).
  • Better day targets because workouts are accurate.

TrainerRoad = plan ahead (optional)

Planned workouts help you fuel proactively instead of reacting late.

  • See training load coming before the day starts.
  • Get pre/post meal guidance based on the plan.
  • Less “bonk prevention by luck”.

Meal reminders (optional)

Reminders help you hit timing — especially when you’re busy or training early/late.

  • Get a reminder ~15 minutes before planned meals.
  • They’re per device (enable on each device you use).
  • Great for consistency during heavy training blocks.

You can fine-tune later

Don’t get stuck in setup. Start using the app, then adjust as you learn.

  • Timezone + profile basics affect everything.
  • Account/Profile lets you update defaults and integrations.
  • If something looks wrong, it’s usually a timezone or profile detail.
First week goal: show up on Today and log meals around your key sessions.
